Sentinel for researchers: follow a subject without spending your days on it
Sentinel is an email monitoring service for researchers. It follows scientific publications (OpenAlex), reports, press and research blogs on a subject, in several languages, and sends every week a reviewed note where every claim links to the original document.
The subject moves on without you
A journal publishes, an agency releases a report, a ministry opens a consultation, a colleague in Geneva settles a debate in a blog post. All of it in three languages, on ten sites nobody reads every day. Keeping up with your own research subject is a second job, done badly because you already have one.
What Sentinel does
You describe your subject and your questions. Sentinel watches 24 hours a day the sources you give it and those it suggests: scientific publications through OpenAlex, reports from institutions and international organisations, international press, think tanks, research blogs, podcasts. More than 1,000 sources in 50 countries, in French, English, Italian and the languages of your sources.
Every week, or every morning if you prefer, an email: what is new, how it changes what was known, and the link to each document. The keywords of your watch are translated automatically into the languages of your sources, so that an article in English on your subject does not slip through.
Every note is reviewed before sending, and every claim stays linked to its source: you check the original document in one click before citing it.
For example
A researcher in migration policy follows European texts, UNHCR and IOM reports, court decisions and the press of four countries. Every Monday, he receives the week on one page: three publications, one ruling, one open consultation, with the links. What would have taken him a day to gather.
In five minutes
- Create one watch per research question, with its keywords in your language.
- Add your journals, institutions and authors; the other sources come from the shared base.
- Choose the weekly cadence and the day.
Which plan
Solo, 19 € a month, for a weekly email on three subjects. That is the researchers' plan. A free plan to start with one watch, no time limit and no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
- Are scientific publications covered?
- Yes, through OpenAlex, in addition to institutional reports, the press and the research blogs you add.
- How do I verify a claim in the note?
- Every claim is linked to its source: one click opens the original document. The note is also reviewed before sending by a second model that checks names, dates and figures.
- Is the Solo plan enough?
- For a single researcher, yes: three watches, a weekly email, 19 € a month, and a free plan to start, without a credit card.
